This was my argument, and still plenty of chances for it to fail, but it's a good start
For it to happen would need Labour, Lib Dem and Green (probably SNP and PC too) to agree before the next election what form of PR they want and for all to specify that in their manifesto otherwise it's going to hit the "perfect is the enemy of the good" issue that's stopped an elected Lords.

Ultimately if you see them making statements about not needing new laws or regulations because existing product liability consumer laws exist that’s a fake out. Consumer laws are a poor fit for these and the labs will take their chances in court. They want self determination without consequence.

Late votes tonight but one good update: the Early Act (a breast cancer bill I lead w/Sen. Crapo and with House Lead Debbie Wasserman Schultz) passed through the Senate tonight and is headed to the House! It helps young women who are most at risk of getting breast cancer.
