I've just remembered.
It was two years today that I saw scarlet-chested parrots for the first time (after looking for them for years).
The irruption at Gluepot Reserve was very exciting.
I found lots of them feeding on cottony saltbush (Chenopodium curvispicatum) in previously burnt habitat.

A vast amount of Chenopodium hybridum Maple-leaved Goosefoot in a south Norfolk field while checking on an old Henbane record. I’d only seen a single plant before, now I’ve seen tens of thousands! Refound the Henbane too:) #wildflowerhour

A surprise find while carrying out my final #NewYearPlantHunt of 2026 in Peterborough, a non-flowering specimen of Tree Spinach on an area of disturbed ground resulting from recent road improvements. Seems to be new for VC32
