Flood Alert for Wye Estuary in Gloucestershire
High tides today may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible due to a series of fairly high tides over the next few days.
Flooding may affect low lying land and roads adjacent the Wye Estuary from Redbrook to Chepstow. Predicted peaks:- Avonmouth Portbury 7.3m to 7.6m on 29/09 at 21:45, Newport 7.0m to 7.3m on 29/09 at 21:45.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid coastal roads and low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded .
This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 30 September 2026 or as the situation changes.
