A man was arrested at his own wedding in Chirk after police said he became abusive and assaulted an officer. North Wales Police's Wrexham Rural team said officers were called to a disturbance in Chirk during the past week, where the main suspect had "overindulged" at his own wedding. In an update the team said: "Not only would this make for an awkward wedding night, but the suspect became abusive and obstructive, assaulted an officer and was arrested." "He then spent the night in the honeymoon suite at Llay Custody," the update said.

Lle Llais Festival, which translates to ‘Voice Place', is a touring event that brings together artists, poets, researchers and community mappers to explore how local stories, experiences and aspirations can shape the places where people live. The event will feature artist Lily Tiger, poets Natasha Borton and Rhys Trimble, and the Public Map team.
