I'm realizing that what these guys are doing is basically Originalist Chrisianity, where you redefine the words in the fixed source document to produce the result you want, while pretending to be a "more accurate" understanding of it
I mean yes, there is such a concept in Christianity. It appears quite notably in the letters of Paul, for instance, where it’s a concept he *relentlessly* argues against, and in the Gospel where it’s a concept Jesus very much repeatedly scorns. So it is technically in there!

Islam is a monotheistic Abrahamic religion. Monotheistic is the belief there is only one God. Judaism, Christianity, & Islam are referred to as the "Abrahamic religions." Because they expanded under Abraham. Islam is a sibling religion to Christianity. If Islam isn't valid either is Chrisianity.

the only real point of having politicians swear in on books is the reinforcement of the idea that upright behavior depends on religiosity & especially religiosity that christians perceive as having a similar character to chrisianity; part of how irreligiosity is kept underrepresented in government
