These may have been the same thing, but much detail of Norse myth has been lost to time. Blame Christianisation.

This demonisation may or may not have extended to Odin's horse, Sleipnir, being attributed to the Devil, as horses began to take on weird sinister significances during Christianisation.

The lack of documentation about Welsh mythology and legend pre-Roman invasion is part of the book's DNA so I'm not surprised this is the case. Most stuff covering Welsh mythology is not only post-Roman but also post-Christianisation.

The christianisation of the country resulted in mass murder as Brits were forced to accept this new religion or face the consequences.

This continued as Europe colonized.

I think the theory falls apart from jump. Of course they were unempathetic towards Jews. That was a core part of Christian European culture for centuries and centuries. What made the Holocaust possible were the preceeding 1000 years of pogroms, forced Christianisation and ghettos

The point is, there is a very fundamental misunderstanding of Neoplatonist philosophy, conditioned by centuries of Christianisation and Christian dominance of "Western" philosophy (and particularly Platonist philosophy), which has run downstream through all of "Western" philosophy up to recently.

In any case it is probably entirely because of Christianity, and Christianisation, that the idea that the Neoplatonist idea of The One becomes ipso facto identical to the monotheistic God at all, and in the centuries later that's just how philosophers have approached monism as such until maybe now.

many of the rite's musical elements, and the whole story and choreography and art direction were all based on elements of traditional slavic culture, harkening to pre-christianisation times. The composer was russian, the coreographer and the art director were russian.

I think our friend here has not read a lot about the Carolingian Empire, the Crusades, the Conquistadores, the Reconquista, the forced Christianisation of native North Americans (the Catholic Church is not the only one here) and more.

I suspect Islamophobia, but I think if he reads this word⬇️
