Finished the race yesterday in 18 hours and 22 minutes, pretty decent for ~200 sailing miles. Top speed I saw was 23.5 knots. Wet, windy and COLD conditions that made for some spectacular sailing. Here’s a few seconds of me driving.

The English Electric type 4 that is the class 40. I make no bones about this being my favourite class, and this loco, D345 is very close to the top. The sounds, the history, and the sheer presence of these things make them what they are! Amazing.

An old shot of the cab of Whistler 40088, which spent time at Crewe Heritage Centre. Purchased by the Class Forty Preservation Society, and more recently sold to the Cab Yard, a specialist sub-group of the Llanelli & Mynydd Mawr Railway.
