#Classism
i am not an expert on london by any means, but this trip i felt the classism play out where if retail and service industry people feel you are not in (or, rather, performing) the right class, they will act unfriendly to punish your trespassing of norms. exhausting

An author saying AI writing anything is is fine is certainly a take.
And to bash romance reeks of classism and internalized misogyny.
What the fuck, Joyce. I don’t even read romance novels but this kind of thinking pisses me the fuck off. It further pushes that mentality that some books as “lesser” which is bullshit! All books count!

One year at a certain international doom festival some friends were approached by one of their heroes but they ignored him cos they assumed he was a roadie.
Reminded of that petty classism a lot these days for some reason.

Ukrainian refugees are white and affluent (especially who left early, needs savings). Small boat refugees usually are neither (compared to Europeans). Also 1 group is largely women (bc men are drafted) and 1 is largely men (for a lot of depressing reasons)

Racism, Classism, Misogyny.
Always.

there was hella people in Ghana talking about how a sudden huge wave of Black folk were coming in and essentially gentrifying. Access to american dollars and remote work

it fortunately never reached xenophobic levels, but concerns were being raised of gentrification and classism.

The argument isn't about some hypothetical perfect system of execution where only the Jeffrey Dahmer and Timothy McVeigh's of the world are executed after impeccable trials.

The argument has to be about the current system which is riddled with racism, classism, and outright injustices.

This is very Australian and the party aren't Zionism.

Australia was founded on violence, imperialism, and classism. This is just a taste of the atrocity inherent to it.

Excruciating pain inflicted solely for the sake of classism doesn't feel any better than other kinds!

That's all so well said. "The right sort of women" is *how* privileged women abandon other women and sabotage solidarity. It's racism and homophobia and classism and etc. as faux-feminism. For many, I think they don't get that that's what they're doing. But also, it's a great grift!

attempts to learn more about physiology, collaboration, and the pureness of fun competition. A lot of Martial Arts have forever been rooted in all kinds of things like the restoration of cultural pride (TKD), the teaching sciences (Judo), classism (the divide in Brazil between Luta Livre and BJJ).

Yes, because the entire point of that disgusting and dishonest "taxpayer" identity and way of thinking is to foster classism, austerity, exclusion, and eugenics.

Note to USA...This is how a democracy that respects it's people responds to past tragic mistakes.

Slavery, classism, poverty and more.
September 30th is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, where we honour residential school survivors and their families, and remember the children who never returned home.

The 19th C was full of weird food fads, see why Mormonism banned "hot drinks" in addition to alcohol.
Mostly racism- & classism-driven, plus general xenophobia. And then European immigrants adopted that nonsense to blend in.

Just finished "Ghost in the Cupboard" by Chase Connor. First of the Silas Erie Paranormal Cozy series. It actually addressed some deep themes for a so called cozy. Rural unhoused, food insecurity, dying small town, classism, police indifference.

Oh, sounds like a fascinating way to explore classism! Very cool. ❤️
