I'm sorry I'm so behind on replies.

I slept 4 hours last night, did 4 hours of coplanning with my new coteacher today, bought cleaning supplies, toured 2 storage facilities, and rented a unit.

I have a spare sec because I'm waiting on Eldest to get her butt in motion so we can pack 🤣

But at the same time, the long term goal is for trainees to become teachers who work in teams to create shared curricula and shared understandings. We want to encourage departmental discussion and coplanning - shared curriculum building.

The 2nd quote is tomorrow, but unfortunately I'm unavailable at 12 because I have coplanning with my coteacher at 10 and immediately after, I'm signing a storage contract and moving my Eldest's boxes into it. My partner isn't either, and he hasn't replied if he can do morning.

Pre-existing curriculum materials if and when they have the time and space to really understand those materials for what they are - resources.

The honest truth though is that there are very few placement schools where there is time or space for trainees to be part of the curricular coplanning

It’s so cool! I’ve been coplanning with my school’s art teacher an end-of-year paleontology project. Students will create a version of an ancient critter and this would be fun inspiration for them. Of course your work is next level!

I asked him to set up a concrete coplanning time, because I had gotten approval from the principal for that.

He initially said Fridays after school, and I said let's identify a time during school hours. I was very proud of myself for setting that boundary.

I will get 30 minutes on Tuesdays.

In my view, Co-production could be better than co-governance, although community led projects could be even better! Talk covers how research done as well as topic of profiling older target group, identifying issues such as loneliness.
