Such a beautiful coaster, and a true all-star team of elements. The Raven truss dive may be the headline grabber, but this entire ride is just a barrage of exhilaration. And I guess the upside of not being able to marathon it anymore is you won't bruise your shins from the final brake run

Knoebels Amusement Resort loves coaster preservation. In 1985 they took 35 trucks to San Antonio, dismantled the Playland Rocket, brought it back & rebuilt it as Phoenix. It's a fantastic ride. In the late 90s they looked into doing the same for Mr. Twister.

It'd be nice if it wound up in a better setting, as convenient as Fun Spot Atlanta was for me.
It was just by the side of the road in a park that was kind of dying and had little else worth doing. The coaster was a failed attempt to save it.
But it was magical.

this is some of the worst rattle on any coaster I've ever seen 😵💫
I was just looking up all the parks in a <5 hour radius out of curiosity and yeah, no, you could not pay me to ride this

This interview with Joe Draves from S&S about Steel Curtain and Maxx Force is one of the best i've ever heard. They talk about actual roller coaster design philosophy, elements, and pacing! Just a legitimately fascinating interview. @CoasterForce

Just remembered about a time I "failed" a dark ride... There was one in B'enidorm where they give you light guns and they only let you fight the Minotaur at the end if you have six people in the car and maybe reach a certain score shooting the critters (we didn't get that but it looks underwhelming)
