These highly detailed ‘BIGOT’ maps are an incredible example of the ingenuity shown by so many brave souls in #WW2. ‘BIGOT’ was the code for the very highest level of secrecy, as noted on our maps & our introductions.

This British War Office map is a beauty, reflecting the area today, according to Alan Godfrey’s introduction. Only lightly affected by allied bombing, it has a long historical & cultural heritage. Reading Alan’s words had me thinking of holidays!
