#Communicable
Whether it's James Talarico getting the flu or Ken Paxton giving kids measles, both candidates have brushes with communicable diseases.

A mass communicable psychotic break.

It's unkind to wish harm on others but everyone in power who says, "this easily preventable communicable disease is no big deal" needs to experience the worst outcomes from that easily preventable communicable disease because they are incapable of learning without personal experience.
Ignoring the fact that there have been several measles deaths this year, it's incredible that these anti-science chuds think there are two disease states: Dead or having no symptoms.

You can survive measles and still suffer serious and long-lasting health consequences!
Minnesota Republican state Sen. Bill Lieske: "Back in the day when the measles vaccine didn't exist, measles was a joke! ... yes, there are increases cases. How many of those are actually resulting in deaths? Are they just going home with the sniffles? Back in the day, people had measles parties."

The unvaccinated Amish are healthier, except when they're exposed to easily preventable communicable diseases

This guy also thinks vaccines are bad because it would be preferable to live in a world without communicable diseases.

Like a petri dish of communicable diseases and the more that are around the further the i.q. drops.

this is like a discussion about how best to do public health against communicable disease and then getting mad someone keeps pointing out you really should be distinguishing between bacteria vs viruses

Watching the extremly distressing tetanus storyline on Call the Midwife, and am so glad that this horrible and excruciating disease—which is present all around us, in the soil and elsewhere, and not a human-to-human communicable disease—is so easily prevented by a simple vaccination. #VaccinesWork

And we'd also have been better able to address other pressing issues, around communicable diseases, poverty, human rights, etc.

It’s also cheaper if you can treat them to prevent them from spreading communicable diseases, cause viruses don’t care abt citizenship

Illegals work without benefits. Pay into social security w/o getting any back. Allow employers bigger profits

If anyone should be prosecuted, it’s the employers

He has brought communicable diseases back into our lives following us forgetting about them. He and Trump and musk are wrecking balls with too much power 😵‍💫🙃

I'm in the office. Everyone's coughing, sneezing and blowing their noses. I appear to be the only person here who hasn't brought a communicable disease in for a day out. I'm livid.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed rn about how to take action about *gestures* the world — an easy suggestion: Get vaxxed people!!

I got my Covid and flu vaccine (in the same arm at the same time rip) and am wiped out rn but it will help keep my community safer from communicable disease. 🦠

As a permanently immune impaired person, I support this idea. Your job as a health-care worker is to help me get and stay well (as well as I can muster), not to make me sicker, not to expose me unnecessarily to communicable diseases. If you're too politically deluded to think masks are political, 👎.

I've only been sick with a communicable thing once, I think, in the last decade or so. Knock wood.

Allergies a couple times.

More than just immunization, a person can acquire a communicable disease for which there is no immunization possible but treatment is, but untreated they become spreaders.
They made a movie about this- "Panic in the Streets"
Historically, one case comes to mind- Typhoid Mary.

I continue to respect them posting a picture of Kennedy next to any and all food-borne or communicable diseases

Also good work everyone

I was expelled from kindergarten by the Soviet CDC due to becoming the epicenter of the outbreak of a frankly impressive combination of communicable childhood illnesses due to my weird parents having kept me indoors for so long that I had almost no immune system. 🙃
QUESTION OF THE DAY:

This sounds like a joke question, but it isn’t.

If it doesn’t apply to you, fine. But it’s a serious question with different levels of meaning. And I am genuinely curious.

When did you first realize you were weird?

those guys and the NYT Editorial staff all belong to the same social circle and their kids all go to the same private school.

Same folks that were practicing social distancing when they believed having an hourly wage was a communicable disease.

What in the communicable disease is this? 😅
October 16, 2026 at 1:06 AM
Look at this old fella!

At least I think those eyes are a sign of age. The only cockies I have ever met with these eyes were captive and old.

(If you know for a fact that this is a sign of disease let me know. Especially if it's a communicable one that I need to disinfect, etc. for.)
October 16, 2026 at 6:09 AM
It SHOULD mean when idiot parents refuse a life-saving vitamin K shot and their baby dies of a bleeding disorder or when they reject other vaccines and their child dies of a PREVENTABLE communicable disease. That's not what maga includes in their fantasy of post-birth abortion though
October 14, 2026 at 2:46 AM
For instance.
Anti-fascism, on the other hand, is treated like a disfiguring communicable disease. Nobody wants to be near it & or near a person who has it.
