During public comment, neighborhood residents pressed the board for more effective responses to concentrated street homelessness in the Hub area, speakers urged scrutiny of AI and data centers, and community members asked the city to honor local leaders and support Muni Heritage Weekend.

The board voted unanimously to designate a section of California Street between Powell Road and Spring Hill Drive as a Charlie Kirk memorial; public comment drew both support from local Turning Point members and criticism from some residents.

City staff presented a purchase agreement for an 80%-scale Vietnam War memorial wall at Freedom Point (Lions Park). The project price is $350,000 with $75,000 already fundraised; the mayor approved $150,000 state distribution funds and the committee recommended a $275,000 city payment (to be recouped in part by additional donations).
