Compstall could only be described as sleepy if the main road is completely ignored. How are cars somehow invisible and inaudible?
You live in a sleepy village. Then a 'face melting festival' arrives.

Festivalgoers head to Whitebottom Farm in Stockport every summer for its festivals. But these events are tearing the village apart - so much so that one resident says life is akin to living in “Nazi Germany”.

No, but I do need to go there for a few things, and meatballs. I love Werneth Low, it is a glorious place. I like going up to Windy Harbour, looking over towards Compstall and pretending it's all mine!

I might have underestimated the distance and overestimated my current fitness when I got off the bus at Compstall to walk the rest of the way home.
