I hope the democrat party calls them off: the sword ceremony is just that, a ceremony, not an election. The newly elected congresspeople must show up that day and claim their seats, as the voters decided, not sit and wait while they play some game to see what happens! PUSH!

I wish that the U.S. Congress worked like the U.K. Parliament. Constant public debates. Congresspeople give long speeches on the floor without debate. FOX & the MSM cherry picks parts that suit their agenda - then Congress people get facetime on both! Being controversal is their goal!

Congresspeople allowed the confirmation of said woefully unqualified person; this applies to many people in the current administration. There appears to be a large number of people willingly to place large swaths of people's lives at risk in multiple avenues across core gov't oversight functions.

Who are the "people" here? Because Congresspeople have "government-funded" healthcare in so far as they get a subsidy to purchase private insurance off the DC healthcare exchange. Which, yeah, if that was my experience with healthcare, I'd agree that it's bad and expensive.
