What remains is not so much the image of a person as their presence — in the gesture, the pose, the color, and the traces of paint.

A vertical mixed media portrait on black paper. A distorted male figure emerges from the dark void, rendered with thick white oil stick, acrylic, and pastel lines that create a chaotic, blurred effect around the face. The texture is rough and expressive, emphasizing existential tension.

A romantic bus trip #27 In this nostalgic piece from A Romantic Bus Trip series, an elderly man in a suit raises a glass of orange juice inside a vintage train, gazing out at a serene pastoral landscape. The view features rolling mountains and grazing animals, bathed in the warm colors of a setting or rising sun. The scene blends tranquility and nostalgia, evoking a peaceful journey through a timeless landscape. This artwork beautifully captures the quiet reflection and elegance of aging, inviting viewers to appreciate the calm and serenity that accompanies moments of introspection.

“Ritual in Blue”

Work has been crazy lately, so I haven’t had much time for my art, but I managed to complete this in time for @doableguys.bsky.social art show this weekend in Fire Island!

#ArtOfMan #FigureDrawing #HomoeroticArt #MaleNude #QueerArt #ContemporaryFigurative #WatercolorArt #NSFWArt
Watercolor painting of two nude men. One man stands over the other in an arched pose, his body rendered in cool blue tones, offering his erect penis to the mouth of the reclining figure below. The composition evokes sensual intimacy and playful reverence.

A quiet morning scene painted of two figures walking at the edge of sleep along a long and lonesome road.

This piece worked in multiple figures in shared solitary space. A little outside of time - a bit vague, a bit familiar, a bit misty.
