I wanted to see from another angle, and... Wow!
Lilac Breasted Roller (Coracias caudatus) is an African bird of the roller family Coraciidae. Here is a stunning example perched on a thorny branch. Outstretched wings are the same pastel blue as the lower body, shifting to white and then a dark navy at the wingtips. The upper body is light blue on the head and a not terribly surprising lilac on the chest and face.

The European Roller (Coracias garrulus) served as my reference. It's the only member of the Coraciidae family found in France. It's an excellent indicator of sustainable agriculture; its need for large insects makes it incompatible with farming that relies heavily on insecticides.
In Europe, this jay-sized bird is unique and unmistakable. When observing a European Roller, one sees a blue bird; indeed, the head, wings, and underparts are aquamarine blue, at least in the adult. Viewed in profile, the tawny-brown of the back, mantle, and scapulars; reminiscent of a male kestrel, offers a lovely contrast. There is even a touch of azure blue on the shoulders. In flight, it is a riot of color, as the black or blue of the flight feathers joins the palette, depending on whether the bird is viewed from above or below. A black band runs across the side of the head, encompassing the strong bill, the lores, the eye, and the area behind the eye. The legs are pinkish. The sexes look alike. The juvenile is noticeably duller; the blue is paler and tinged with green on the head and wings. The underparts are whitish with a blue tint, while the cheeks, throat, and breast are finely streaked with white. The bill is horn-colored. The immature bird displays intermediate plumage. The European Roller breeds across a range extending from Spain and Morocco in the west to Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and the far northwest of China in the east, passing through southern France and Corsica, southern Italy, the Balkans, Turkey, Iran, and Central Asia. West of the Urals, its range extends as far north as the Baltic states and western Russia. Its wintering grounds lie in sub-Saharan Africa, reaching as far south as South Africa; it is therefore a long-distance migrant.
