This ancient British harness mount is made from a copper alloy with enamelling.

What makes it so special is the incorporation of stylised owls’ heads in the design.

It’s delightful.

This mosaic was found under Dyer Street, in 1849, inspiring the creation of the first #Corinium Museum. In the centre, three #dogs converge on their prey.
