The DIY chocolate attempt took a lot longer to solidify than I thought it would, but I have little chocolate bars.

Today, we planted roughly 129 tomato plants, 7 tomatillo plants, and 11 pepper plants in the buckets. We had 9 buckets left over, so I planted 3 varieties of winter squash in 5 buckets and 3 varieties of cucumbers in 4 buckers as an experiment. Still have 4 trays of flowers to go.

I finally processed the garlic scapes today into scape pesto starter for the freezer, and I threw some in the roasted garlic hummus I made for yarn dyeing party tomorrow.

I got the second half of the green beans done after the dye party, 14 more quarts. Hopefully they all seal.

I can put 5 more trays on this set of shelves, and then I'll have to go to the upstairs set. Which means I have to finish cleaning the stuff off of the upstairs set.

One more u-bed down: 3 kinds of Swiss Chard, 3 kinds of mustard greens, some dill, and 24 some odd purple basil plants.

Well, Mom and I got the plastic stripped off the raised bed parts and removed the drip lines in the garden where they are going to be. Then I got them put together for assembly down at the garden when I have someone to hold the pieces up or I have to drag a bunch of chairs to the garden.

The first day of the week of vacation that I took to build more raised hugelkulture beds and prep the garden for planting, lol. Hopefully, it will melt fast.

Tonight's hilarity: 3+ pounds of Hungarian Hot Wax peppers processed into 7 pints of Pickled Yellow Pepper Rings, and a load of dishes.

After getting the 149 tomato plants repotted and in the half-assed greenhouse, we got the leek plants and 2/3 of the shallot plants from Dixondale in the new raised beds. My rhubarb is happy with all the rain.

8 pints of the Pickled Three Bean Salad from So Easy to Preserve except I used Hungarian Hot Wax peppers instead of bell peppers because I had a lot, and it'll give it at little kick. Also, more beans I canned yesterday.

Garden update: More hot wax peppers, about 42 quarts of beans, and a boat load of zucchini and summer squash. Those aluminum trays are 12x18 inches.

Today, we weeded the pots, added composted cow manure and fertilizer, blended it with the drill auger bit, and got the tonato cages in each bucket. Tomorrow, we will plant tomato, tomatillo, and pepper plants in the pots, and I may plant some experiments with seeds with whatever buckets are left.
