I won't really believe in a Manchester Underground until they seriously start digging, but I've been saying for a while that (Greater) Manchester needs one. Also we need tram lines that don't all run on the St Peter's Square - Cornbrook stretch, it just creates a bottleneck.

Pomona exists solely to make the overcrowding at Exchange Quay and Cornbrook feel less bad. It is an empty shell of a station packed between busy stops

Just some of Cornbrook Breweries beers. Cornbrook Brewery was acquired by Northern Breweries of Great Britain Ltd with 270 houses in 1961 and brewing ceased in 1973. Part of the offices remained until the developers got their hands on them. #Manchester #beer

Except, seemingly, that quarter mile between Cornbrook Metrolink and just before Deansgate Interchange where the only cycle provision is a half assed shared path. Is that ever actually being fixed?
In the next few months it will be possible to use protected infrastructure to cycle from Stretford to the city centre. The moaning won't stop but the number of people cycling on this route will start to increase significantly

Did you know Cornbrook originally was built with no access from the street it was only an interchange between tram routes.
