Former student returns a book to Cornell library... that was due in 1973. Thankfully, the school got rid of late fees for book returns five years ago.

I went over there as rarely as I could get away with. Cornell was like a different, more entitled planet.
Not all Cornellians, of course. But I never felt right on that hill.
They had the only video rental place you could get to by bus, though.

(NPR) For Canadians, Ice Hockey fans, & Cornellians, Ken Dryden died this past weekend. A stunning gentleman, an extraordinary athlete, and an exceptionally talented person, including a minister in a Canadian cabinet in 2004. We both went to Cornell, briefly overlapping.

Ken Dryden, Hall of Fame goalie for the Montreal Canadiens, dies at age 78
Dryden backstopped the NHL's most successful franchise to championships in six of his eight seasons in the league from 1970-71 to '78-79. He died after a fight with cancer.
