Former UnitedHealth customer/victim. Almost gave up trying to get a cosentyx REFILL last year. They just kept coming up w new hurdles. Almost wore me down but I’m semi-good at bureaucracy, so after several missed doses, I finally got it REFILLED. Can’t imagine how many people just throw in the towel

looking more and more like I'm gonna have to start humira in a month. Doctor wants to give cosentyx another month and I'm down but not optimistic. I'm honestly really nervous about going on a medication that directly raises cancer risk. but also there's a fucking giant hole in my skin

the only thing they could do for me now that would make sense, is maybe start working w my insurance on the approval process for Humira. That's what they said they'd do if cosentyx wasn't working. SO WHY ARE THEY DOING EVERYTHING BUT THAT I am going to directly ask

insurance is such a fucking scam. been paying 250 for cosentyx for the past few months since starting it. a bit pricey but fine, its a biologic. This month, $3490 because....insurance said i had to reach my out of pocket max. Nothing changed from last month. fuck you florida blue.

Kaiser has a lot of problems, and sometimes I hate it, but if your doctor prescribes a biologic, your insurance will cover it and there will never be a battle at the pharmacy. I take cosentyx and I take it every other week. With my husband's union plan, I pay $20/month. A better way is possible.

i hope you can find a diff solution that helps you get it under control. Psoriasis is so difficult and painful ;w;
Cosentyx might be worth looking into if you haven't yet (it is similarly pricy/ also has a manufacturer savings program. but no psych side effects)

if anyone else takes cosentyx please lmk how bad that aspect has been for you. esp if you take cosentyx and wear an N95 in public regularly. do you find stuff slips through still?? how much more often do you find yourself getting sick?? really hard to extrapolate from clinical data to irl experience

my doctor said "it might heal from the inside out" and now im seeing some indications that kind of look like that i think??? i will be so happy if that means the cosentyx is working. but in the shower one edge of it started bleeding, that's new and seems pretty bad??? calling my doctor tomorrow
