Taken in the Rocky Mountains outside Denver Colorado. Taken in the California Costal Mountains in Sonoma county. Photo is of a night blooming California Poppy. Taken on the Russian River in the Northern Costal Mountains where they start to stoop down to the sea. The Santa Cruz Mountains as seen from my back yard. I live on the west facing slope of the Diablo Range and look west to Santa Cruz.

A nice costal fragment of a Late Cretaceous (upper Santonian to lower Campanian) soft-shelled turtle that I found in Greene Co., AL. Fossil trionychids from the Tombigbee Sand Member of the Eutaw Formation represent the oldest record of this family east of the Mississippi River. #FossilFriday

Day 2: North/South - Approx from the Himalayas to the tip of India, throwing on a Japan- shaped costal region for good measure. East-West - big enough to form an Amazon River, with a deep-sand desert on the far western edge. My people fly, so it's not *that* big to them.

The thing is these ships are 5.000 -7.000tons capable. Their purpose is river/costal duty. Cheap way to transport or transfer oil/diesel etc from Sea ports or shadow fleet/ to numerous places along the Russian river/canal system. From Rostov to Leningrad. Or Crimea. Not only hurts Crimea.

I’m spending my day babysitting a 3d printer that about 24hrs in to a 56hr print, so I decided to go out and do some #flyfishing for lunch.

Here’s what was worth taking pictures of. I caught an addition 3 costal cuts, but they were all 5” and below. Not bad for a 1/4 mile walk up the river. 1/2

My family and I ended up in North San Diego County - Oceanside. We don’t have e-bikes but there are many places we can not really get to other than the river trail and downtown, along the coast. Most of the costal county is very hilly. E-bikes enable many children and adults - city of 180k

A field with wildflowers leads to the iconic church with a tall steeple next to Coastal Cypress trees in the charming village of Mendocino, California. A Gothic beauty. 💙 The Mendocino Presbyterian Church is an historic Carpenter Gothic-style Presbyterian church building located at 44831 Main Street, in Mendocino, California. Built of coast redwood, it sits on the Mendocino headlands overlooking the Pacific Ocean; its board and batten exterior walls, tall side-entrance bell tower, steep gabled roof and lancet windows are typical of many Carpenter Gothic churches A simple alter underneath a large wooden cross covered in live Spring flowers with stained glass windows on either side. The Mendocino Presbyterian Church is a historic Carpenter Gothic-style Presbyterian church building located at 44831 Main Street, in Mendocino, California.
