At present - Weksh drama series are superb. Hinterland, Hidden (Craith), The Light in the Hall (2 series), Keeping Faith (3 series). Channel 4 has a sub section for World Drama which has superb series - Italian, French, Swedish etc. Have you seen Turn of the Tide (Rabo de Peixe)- Amazon?
