It’s called the palazzo Corvaja, and goes back to the XIII century during the Norman occupation of Sicily. It’s crenellations and sturdy local stone make it seem more a castle than a palace, and in fact it’s more or less that, occupying one of the higher areas in the city. It was used as Parliament

Speaking of miniatures, this is what I’ve been working on lately. It’s a dollhouse for a doll, so it’s extra tiny. It’s a castle tower. I had several of these plastic tubes, so I cut one open lengthwise and added floors.
