Versys 1000 at Pwllhelli sea front. Pwllheli harbour and marine, with mountains of Eryri in the distance. The harbour is a pronounced hook shape. Cricieth castle, 1230s, originally built by Welsh ruler Llywelyn Fawr ('The Great'). It sits atop a rocky promontory at the coast. Porthmadog and harbour, once a major slate exporting area.

This is good, and it reminds me of the twmpath dawns I was part of in Cricieth last year with several other trans and non-binary people, and where people danced the 'male' or 'female' parts as they saw fit.

Our brief stay in Cricieth was not very birdy. Here are a couple of Meadow Pipits at Tanygrisiau and an Osprey at the Tremdoc site. This nest has 3 youngsters and there are 2 other nests close by so a good year for them.

Daily #Wales today, and it has to be time for castle. They’re not all the result of Edward I and his conquest of Wales; some, like this one at Criccieth, were castles of the Welsh princes.
