For me (and the characters in my story), #CrippingDystopia is all about the defiant refusal to leave the vulnerable behind, even and especially when the system is doing everything it can to get rid of them

To me #CrippingDystopia looks like letting the actual experts at surviving unreasonable conditions speak. Letting us be the heroes of dire circumstances instead of the cishet ablebodied white guy who’d probably panic at his first encounter with adversity.

Dystopian media often tells us that #disabled people’s lives matter less, and calls this pragmatism.
“For the good of the many” often requires that disabled characters die and/or be left behind.

That's one reason why we're #CrippingDystopia in the disability in dystopia anthology!
