Very cool!

I use to help my uncle service his cropdusters with big radial pratt and whitney engines

I dropped a spark plug helping him and got yelled at

Then 10mins later he did the same thing😲

I think they were $15 a pop back then

I kinda think everyone who's spent even a modicum of time around them has personally seen at least one crash. My modicum of time was around cropdusters, and I saw two hit the ground.

We need to fire up cropdusters full of Thorazine and have them run 24/7 going east, west, north and south. The untreated schizophrenia is rampant in this country!

If by "Fed shit" you mean the FAA, they may know and they may have perfectly good reasons for keeping the information confidential. If this had been cropdusters or traffic copters, no one would be upset. But they're drones! New! Scary! Please.

"Ah, the idyllic existence of getting hit by industrial pesticides several times a year as the cropdusters fly over or the acres and acres of walnut orchards next door get sprayed... The dulcet tones and sweet perfumes of cattle in the stockyard down the way waiting to be sold..."

Further, Stearmen suffered a generally high accident rate as they were often bent by trainees, then later as cropdusters a fair number of dings. Now they're more valued, better cared for. All the Stearmen out there are mostly original, with 'new old stock' replacement parts, some new built bits.

In a different world, If I was a northern monkey I would 100% been at every Housemartins gig. They were such a fycking superb, under rated band. I was listening to the Cropdusters at Mr Cs in Poole and across the south in the 80s, they were another great band who never quite made it as far as HM.
