#CryptoFascism
Forget about cryptofascism, motherfucker's debuting cryptidfascism

Neoliberalism is cryptofascism.

You know, all the cryptos. Like cryptofascism and cryptosporidium
Now now, cryptocurrency has lots of legitimate uses, hence the term 'crypto'
“I’m in crypto” is enough of a red flag on its own.

Cryptofascism has landed.

Engaging in cryptofascism instead of engaging in politics should be the death knell of an entire political party, but the fact that it's not really fills me with exhaust.

And I don't mean tiredness, I mean witnessing this makes me feel like I'm huffing a muffler.
I know this is meant to scare us (and let's not talk about the AI slop) but I love the idea of a world where bicycles are so plentiful you don't even need to lock them up anymore

when a magazine looks at a book on fascism as an opportunity for a "reviewer," secretly a fascist from one of the fascist groups that the book mentions, to write a "review" saying the book is bad for making all those fascists out to be fascists, I dunno what else you can call that but cryptofascism
Got 'em:

The @thebulwark.com added an editor's note to the review, acknowledging that the author's direct affiliation with the Foundation for American Innovation ("the foundation shaping the tech right," according to Inc.) created a conflict that should have been forthrightly disclosed.

I think it's less of a skill issue we should cringe at on their behalf, tbh, than a bad faith self-deluding cryptofascism issue we should revile and abhor with utter contempt every bit as much as the overt fascism
it’s deeply embarrassing that they keep trying to come up with a comprehensive definition of “wokeness” when the actual definition is “lib shit that annoys me”
I have to admire his ability, after all these years, to come up with a definition of "woke" that is even dumber and worse than anything that came before.

You have to believe in the title of this video.

While an excellent review of Wolfenstein: Youngblood it's also one of the best videos i've ever seen on the history and concepts of cryptofascism, antisemitism and the alt right pipeline.

This is not a video about Wolfenstein: Youngblood

Hello, class, and welcome to Cryptofascism 101. In this week's module on Discourse Analysis, today's reading is...
How many stories have you read in the last month about how radical & extreme Francesca Hong & Abdul El-Sayed are, & how the Democrats are veering far left?

How many stories have you read in the last month about how radical & extreme Tom Tiffany & Ken Paxton are, & how the GOP is veering far right?
Kind of remarkable that so much of the discourse is about the dangers of extremism in the Democratic Party.

TBH, I find the Grauniad's smug, paternalistic, middle-class liberalism as annoying as the frothing (not so) cryptofascism of the rest of the UK press.

The short version, it's all American cryptofascism.

Which.

Boy.

I have bad news about the international applicability of the genre...

I get it—while I'm sure u have ur own process to grapple with it, I do want to say you have been gaslit by a society that tries to neutralize the symbolism of tattoos of flags & Spartan helmets—the laundering of cryptofascism as something we are told we are overcalibrated to detect is intentional.

What’s the value in strategic voting, when /this/ cryptofascism is to what you‘re lending your vote?
The Times reporting that Andy Burnham succeeded in persuading Shabana Mahmood to become Chancellor because it would give her more control over cutting immigration

AoT is *explicitly* Imperial Japan "retvrn" cryptofascism shit. It's an allegory for post-WWII Japan not being allowed to have a standing military. The author has said General Pixis is based on real life General Akiyama Yoshifitu who committed war crimes in the first sino-japanese war

Yeah let me try and believe that while I'm patiently explaining to my extended and very offline older family members why the things they're repeating out of the newspapers they trust are actually cryptofascism :/

Valhalla is a series of lovingly rendered real historical locations stuffed full of cryptofascism and vague gestures at the concept of video games

Seems like there was a ... DRY wit to his statement. He really puts the crypt in cryptofascism! Ahee hee hee hee heee!

It seems tech billionaires all share the same trait: when discussing the “individual freedoms” which their brave new world will bring, this only applies to themselves - the rest of us are irrelevant and beneath contempt. #CryptoFascism #Billionaires #WarOnDemocracy www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

Ah, the old Democrats can't do anything defense. A classic. You should be honest and clear, the Democrats want cryptofascism, the Republicans want in-your-face fascism, what they disagree on are the optics.

to be fair - it's a totenkopf and not lightning bolts.

He could have done it later, but again, it's edgelordism and not cryptofascism.
