A man escapes the chaos of the city for Harmony Creek, a suburb so pristine it feels like a dream. The lawns are perfect, the houses are immaculate, and the Neighborhood Watch is the most dedicated he's ever seen, patrolling at all hours to maintain a perfect safety record. But he soon learns the truth behind the perfection. The obsessive rules and the 24/7 patrols aren't to protect the residents from the outside world. They're to protect the outside world from the residents. This isn't a neighborhood; it's a beautifully maintained zoo where the houses are the cages. The Watch isn't looking for burglars trying to get in. They're watching for the neighbors, making sure the "sickness" that grows in the quiet perfection of their lives never, ever gets out. Welcome to Harmony Creek, where the biggest threat is already inside.
