This is why @wired.com is one of my favorite publications. Where else can I get content for my cybercriminology classes, learn what new linux distros I should try out...and read the best practices for protests.

I'm in the position now to lead the direction of our growing cybercriminology program.

One thing I'd like to do is champion free and open source software.

Our program will try to champion them even as universities (including mine) go all in on $1,000+ software subscriptions.

CRJS 301 - Cybercriminology Foundations...It's the intro course in the Cybercrime BS program.

I think, if there is even a slight interest on your campus, it might be worth having a class and maybe even a minor. Students love it.

Sure am - our program requires students take a victimology course (which I very much appreciate), so I chose a text that specifically had cybervictimization as a chapter so that I could tie in cross-course material (as I can with cybercriminology theory).

Are you a (digital) sociologist or (cyber)criminologist studying AI?

#ODU is hiring!

I'm on the search committee and the coordinator of our cybercriminology program.

Our ad is vague, so I put some potential research areas in the image.

Please share (link to posting below).

A leak of court data is not just a breach of privacy. It can lead to secondary victimisation: stigmatisation, harassment, doxxing and fraud targeting witnesses, victims or parties to proceedings. #cybercriminology #cybersecurity
