ACAB - all cyclists are beautiful ❤️

Gather any random group of people, and you'll include at least some idiots, so of course there are idiot cyclists.
However, if you're blaming ALL cyclists for the actions of a few idiots, and if you're more upset about idiot cyclists than idiot drivers, then YOU are an idiot, too.

Drivers: Cyclists never follow the law.

Also drivers:

Hold my zero beer. Pedestrians kill as many cyclists as cyclists pedestrians? And cyclists kill each other 100% more?
It really is quite staggering how much time and energy is devoted to road users that present a minimal risk. Whilst being indifferent to the road user that account for almost all casualties.

Blocking bike lanes is about forcing cyclists into car traffic but it's also about SIGHT LINES
This is why blocking the bike lane, even partially puts us in danger.

Good morning cyclists ☕🚲☀️

Cyclists, what are you wearing for rain pants that actually work? Extra points if they’re packable

Local woman wakes up, melts down all the cybertrucks to make a monument celebrating billionaire stupidity and redistributes all profits into better sidewalks, bike lanes and other things making cities safer for cyclists and pedestrians, makes oatmeal.

hence cyclists are accused of obstructing traffic flow

This wannabe murderer lost to Katy Padilla Stout in Texas' 23rd Congressional District. Now he's got more time to plan how he's going to get away with murdering cyclists.
Republican candidate Brandon Herrera:

“I fucking hate cyclists. Jesus fucking Christ!

….I had fucking fantasies of running them all over and, you know, maybe one of these days I will.

…I have thought about ways that I could get away with it.”

also “congestion on bike lanes” is so funny this is like exactly the way drivers hallucinate about cyclists too

Among other things would love people to stop framing floating bus stops as a "cyclists versus disabled people" issue as if those are even remotely mutually exclusive
"Cyclists just forget that disabled people exist" - someone who refuses to acknowledge that disabled cyclists exist

A new experience on my train today: the guard stood in front of the bike places, stopping people trying to put their big bags where they shouldn’t be, then welcomed the cyclists on!

Incredible three day string for the Seattle Times opinion page, scolding pedestrians and cyclists, opposing housing and supporting school closures
Not shocked in the slightest that the Seattle Times ed board endorses SPS's new school closure plan. But like the superintendent, they can't actually make a case for *why* we have to close schools, just that we should. They also want to sell off the buildings (to charter schools?). Ugh.
Handled correctly, school closures in Seattle could be a win | Editorial
With savvy stewardship, the prospect of closing buildings in Seattle Public Schools could be a win for the district.

Some cyclists. Cyclists can be as selfish as motorists. Most cyclists and motorists are not

We have pedestrian areas in Cambridge and cyclists regularly ignore the huge signs put up saying "please dismount".
But this isn't about cyclists or pedestrians it's about shit people being shit.

I have no time for any action that pits cyclists against pedestrians.

Just a reminder to cyclists that streets are full of leaves and once they're damp, they become a prime skidding risk. Almost wiped out turning a corner over wet leaves.

Nearly 30,000 people were killed or seriously injured on Britain’s roads last year.

That should shape where police focus, not the latest outrage.

It’s time to push the facts to the front. By me in The Spectator:

It’s time to stop demonising cyclists
There’s been plenty of outrage against cyclists recently. Last week, after Oxford Street in London was pedestrianised, a small number of people broke the rules by cycling down the traffic-free section...
