I love that everyone seems to be aware of the inhibitory effects on cytochrome P450 drug metabolism!

A thread on the history of that discovery, and implications:
Hopefully you know that GRAPEFRUIT JUICE can inhibit liver enzymes that break down the active ingredients in certain therapeutic drugs, which can result in dangerous overdosing (or underdosing) with certain drugs.

Not surprising, as someone with cfs, my doctor told me in 2010 it was the result of hypomethylation and something to do with cytochrome p450 dysfunction
