DanMachi Season 1 was pretty enjoyable because it was mostly about Bell learning to be a hero, plus the reversal of the damsel in distress trope. The harem parts were fairly ignorable.
Season 2 onwards became pure shounen harem trash. I dropped it early into season 3 and haven't regretted it since.

Hero in denial playing as trickster sounds like a fantastic character, and I also think a damsel as narrator is such an interesting choice! Using that archetype as a narrator seems a bit subversive in itself.
