Good words for the #DHmakes letterpress friends today. ✍️
No other word has done more damage to the craft of writing in recent years than “content”. Even if you’re using the word “content” ironically, or as a cute little joke, don’t. When someone calls writing “content” they’re pissing on someone’s hard work & passion. “Content” is Technosatan’s henchword.

From the "proving the point" department, the last piece of the AI pants project is machine embroidered, and as much as hand embroidery is slow but predictable work, I'm spending an awful lot of time fixing the threading on this embroidery machine over and over and it sucks. #DHmakes

I'm reading the most beautiful student papers right now (written by 18-20 year olds) about the beauty of typewriters; the value of slowness, of difficulty; about how genuine learning takes place, all unprompted by me! or, only prompted by my unbridled enthusiasm for analog tech 😍 we are not doomed!
