Better days on my '05 DL650, kitted out for ADV riding but used exclusively as a streetbike/tourer. It had friendly ergonomics, good wind protection, and luggage, and was a joy on twisty roads. No apologies for never taking it on dirt. Can't recall now why I sold it. Shouldn't have. #motorcycles

Funny pairing, those two land in nearly the same place. The DL650 runs 87.1% first-time MOT pass across 18,349 tests, and Moto Guzzi as a marque sits at 87.3%. The V-Strom just gets there with a lot more bikes behind the number.

I’m buying a new motorbike today. This is my current motorbike. 1977 Honda CB750 K7. Im getting a Suzuki V-Strom 650 as something more suitable for regular riding. My wife thinks I’m selling the K7 but have decided to do that quite yet.

I’m buying a new motorbike today. This is my current motorbike. 1977 Honda CB750 K7. Im getting a Suzuki V-Strom 650 as something more suitable for regular riding. My wife thinks I’m selling the K7 but have decided to do that quite yet.

Installing saddlebags on my DL650 and I've encountered the interesting issue that if I turn the bike on as it is, the exhaust is would melt the right side saddlebag, because it is pointing directly into it.
I cannot move it forward without blocking the pillion footrest.

Mind you, I love V engines for the sound--I'm a big fan of the V-twin in my DL650 and the V6 my mom's 90s Wrangler from back in the day, but if I were picking something to build and maintain, the inlines just make more sense if you can fit them.

現行DL650は1000譲りのアルミでしたのでVスト言わないのかもです。
でも、SV系ならそれはそれでいいフレームです。
動力性能に合わせてきてるのなら歓迎です。
無印Vスト800の系統になるのですかね。
であればプライス期待できますが...

That's no joke on a 1st-Gen VFR! I did about that distance on my DL650 from Susanville to Seattle about 20 years ago, and it was on a *whole* bunch more comfortable bike and a far easier route
