The point isnt to say that its not true that remakes are effectively to gauge interest, but its nowhere near that simple or straight forward.
For starters, remakes =/= ports, there are WAY more examples of this with ports, like DMCV being directly caused by 4's port, or RE1's remaster causing RE7.
