I low-key forgot about Scourge. As someone who adored the evil clone/doppelganger trope when I was younger and still have a soft spot for it I probably would have loved Scourge if I read the Archie comics. But yeah I heavily prefer Surge as a character from what I've seen of the IDW comics.
