We've been tinkering around with the new version of DOSBox Staging tonight, which has introduced some really nice stuff such as per-graphics format (EGA, VGA etc) colour temp adjustments and appropriate CRT mask.
We usually stick with DOSBOX Pure, but going to now be using Staging too.

Well, here we go. DOSBox-X creates an official separate "OS-free" branch that doesn't contain the actual DOS emulator & requires an installation of OS, to legally function in "jurisdictions that enforce OS level age verification".

If you copy and paste them into a text editor, and save it as EMOJI.COM, the result should be 1092 bytes with an md5sum of 95482be7ae8d8ddcefca5a1ebbc7363f.
It should run in DosBox-X or DosBox Staging. Probably others, I haven't tried.

Ahh, this is great news: standalone DOSBox PURE.
I've used the PURE core on Retroarch for a few years now, and it's taken a lot of the fuss out of running DOS games. It autoconfigures an appropriate PC spec for a particular game correctly the vast majority of the time.

Ahh, this is great news: standalone DOSBox PURE.
