I know it isn't that one, but seeing Rie Tanaka here in the DW3R credits absolutely flattened me. Nep made the UI.

rereading that one DW3R interview again and am amazed to find out the dev team was "the two series leads, a single guy who worked on the cutscenes for DW3, and a ton of junior staff who just really liked DW3 before joining us"

I gotta not read reviews of DW3R I think I'll just make myself annoyed

genuinely, between DW Origins and DW3R it's a pretty good time to love Dynasty Warriors, especially after the spiritual torment that was playing 6, 7 and 9 (and i'm not that fond of DW8 anymore either)

DW3R is dangerous, dude. this morning i booted it up just to complete my last mission as Diaochan and ended up doing a full run of Guan Yu's musou mode

Ziluan's DW3R moveset just being his DWO sword moveset, which in itself was a love letter to sword characters from PS2 Dynasty Warriors games (down to having the same stance), is kinda awesome

this is especially noticeable with DW3R because individual maps can completely differ between difficulties. you don't even need to *enter* the main camp on Yellow Turban Rebellion until you go to Hard/Chaos mode, and Normal!Yiling vs. Hard!Yiling may as well be two different missions

the DW3 remaster and the overwhelmingly positive fan response to it is what triggered those thoughts but DW3R isn't out yet so no can do on posting it to the BL page

"yeah the new fire emblem kinda sucks but i'm really jazzed for the remastermake of Dynasty Warriors 3" is not a thought i ever expected to have at any point in my life and yet here we are.
that DW3R demo was insane. maybe the first remastermake to make all the "modernizations" toggleable.

for me it's like. DW3R is kind of a slam dunk, and it just won't be as impressive if you give that same treatment to 4 and 5 cause we've already seen it lmao. if anything they should syncretize the lessons they learned from both Origins and DW3R to something new.

i was super cynical about DW3R from the word go for about a million reasons (i did not think they still had it in them to make an Old Musou, and i was always a DW4 girlie instead) but damn. this demo really turned me around.

Playing Kongming and Zhongda in dw3r is kinda miserable for me because my depth perception is kinda fucked so I'm just mashing buttons just to smack air. I miss playing Ba Mouki...

Yeah, as I play DW3R I see why 9 year old me thought the Lu Bu/Diaochan romance was the best thing since sliced bread

I'll be honest, I'm kinda not liking how Ziluan plays in DW3r, he zips a bit too much during combos. Gan Ning is pretty cool tho👍
