In GPUs especially, ~60% of errors are multi-bit events!
This makes a lot of sense when you think about the pipeline.
If you get a corruption early enough, the datapath is way more likely to affect the entire warp.

This is D-Terminator; a passive D-terminal to RCA YPbPr or DVI-I (for Datapath cards) adapter board with audio passthrough to to 3.5mm, and data mode pins exposed.

iirc i synthesized it but idr if i ever actually verified it…

Captured using a dual input Datapath VisionAV-HD scaled to 1280x720 with OBS. OpenXHD top, YPbPr through a THS7376IPWR video amp bottom.
We aim to be BIOS agnostic so you can use your favorite bios.

If I explain what's possible and trace the entire datapath and when each layer is vital I will sound insane, so instead I guess I'll just cry about it.

I designed a frugal TLB datapath that traps on miss and uses an M-mode software page table walker. Works great. Boots Linux in spike on RV32/Sv32 and RV64/Sv39.
But with 10-20 misses per 1000 insns and 80? instructions per trap, it turns 1000 insns into 1800-2600. Oops.

So alas I have now also designed a frugal TLB datapath that ALSO does hardware PTW on TLB miss. Those will be LUTs well spent. Oh well…
