Made @davidlebovitz’s Blackberry Brown Butter Financiers from Ready For Dessert — buttery, nutty, and just tart enough thanks to those juicy berries. A simple bake that feels quietly luxurious.

Orange Upside Down Cake by @davidlebovitz

April ritual: bake, flip, serve warm. He acts surprised, I act convinced.

Light sponge, not too sweet, with a glossy orange top that turns jammy at the edges. Gone by evening. Always.

Riz Au Lait from Ready For Dessert by @davidlebovitz is creamy, silky and full of vanilla flavour. I skipped the caramel and topped mine with strawberry compote made from farmers’ market berries. Comfort in a bowl. #RicePudding #food 🍜🍽️

The Chocolate-Chocolate Pound Cake by @davidlebovitz is a chocolate lover’s dream: rich crumb, deep cocoa flavour, dark chocolate frosting.

I ran short on 60% chocolate, used 85% for the frosting, so ended up with a slightly grainy finish. Still delicious. Round two is calling.

I hear it's an excellent year for rhubarb, which means you shouldn't miss this old-fashioned but wonderfully refreshing use for it from @davidlebovitz so you can be all ready for a summer of rhubarb gin-and-tonics (with a squeeze of lemon, please).

Baked Spicy Pears from Ready for Dessert!! by @davidlebovitz. Pears baked with crushed cloves, star anise, cinnamon, peppercorns, butter, brown sugar, and cognac. Finished with a reduced, caramel-dark sauce. Soft, syrupy, gently spiced, deeply comforting.

The rhubarb is here! Here's an old-fashioned but wonderfully refreshing use for it from @davidlebovitz (who kicked my butt at Pilates class this morning) so you can be all ready for a summer of rhubarb gin-and-tonics (with a squeeze of lemon, please).

Cantaloupe Sorbet by @davidlebovitz from The Perfect Scoop — melon, lime, and a splash of white wine, churned into summer. Backyard vibes never tasted so good.

Just got Ready for Dessert by @davidlebovitz and I’m ready to bake my way through it. The Fresh Ginger Cake is calling (you know I’m weak for ginger), but those Blackberry Financiers look dangerously good too. Sweet dilemmas ahead!
