But only if you adopt Trump’s definition of dealmaking. Blackmail is not dealmaking. Dealmaking is push & pull between at least 2 engaged parties seeking to advance their interests. In Trump world there is no interest in the other party. It’s just Trump & his ego & impulses.

The best case scenario is that this is a stock shorting scheme, and in a week, there will be masterful (non-existent) "dealmaking" that removes the tariffs after the billionaires buy the dip causing a massive transfer of wealth.
