The U.S. Census Bureau has received more than 140,000 public comments to its proposed rule to rig the Census.

The proposal, if adopted, would add a citizenship question to the questionnaire, exclude countless people based on immigration status, and eliminate longstanding demographic questions.

Clearly, it was the proposed changes to the 2030 Decennial Census that turned the electorate against the Republicans.

The Census Bureau is proposing changes that would remove questions about race from the census count. EDGI opposes this rule. These indicators make it possible to show how racialized communities experience environmental injustice.

LOL. Elon Musk has great ideas (not new ones) Puerto Rico has more people than all these states that get representatives.

According to the most recent data, Chicago added over 10,000 people between 2024 and 2025. At this pace we might actually surpass our 2020 population before the next decennial census on April 1, 2030. Not a very ambitious goal, but that's where we're at.

• Ending partisan, racial, and mid-decennial gerrymandering.

Elected Republicans got complacent. They took their voters for granted - never a good choice. The mid-decennial stunt is going to be subject to a lot of interesting analysis as well.
(Sadly there’s still that intransigent 39%.)

This American very much wants Dems to get even.

Getting even means codify Roe v Wade, enlarge the Supreme Court, codify LGBTQ+ rights and protections, dismantle ICE, stop the stupid trade wars, prevent district remapping before the decennial census, and - yes - impeachment.

If the party mix of every House delegation is determined by the proportion of votes in the state for parties, it would not be possible to pack and crack populations for partisan, or racial, advantage. The decennial census would reallocte seats among the states, but not enable partisan manipulation.
