Relative got a $500 check from US Treasury and a shocking letter full of lies signed by Trump and ending with "May God bless you". Basically a pre-electoral bribe. News reports say they're sending almost a million of these. Full text in alt below. (I told him to cash it quick before it bounces.)

New personal policy:

If a publication I write for doesn’t have free gift links for me to share with people, I’ll make one of those annoying “Reporter Reads” videos off a teleprompter and put it up freely. Fair is fair!

Upside: You get a load of my imperfect accent and perfectly symmetrical mug.

This is an astonishing self-own by the Internal Revenue Service that will keep scores of hardworking, tax-paying, non-refund-seeking immigrants from paying billions in federal taxes.

Question (4) is breathtaking:

“Please tell us all the ways you want us to rule for you, independent of the actual legal issues in the case.”
NEW: The Supreme Court, over the objections of the 3 liberal justices, grants a stay in the D.V.D. litigation, authorizing the Trump admin to resume third country removals without any notice to people being sent to countries they've never been to.

The Court also agrees to hear the case in December.

One big takeaway from this hearing is that Barack Obama and Joe Biden did a world of good to the D.C. Circuit when they appointed former trial judges to it.

And with good reason, Judges Robert Wilkins, Michelle Childs, and Florence Pan have all been lighting into the Justice Department quite a bit.
NOW: DC Circuit en banc aguments over Judge Boasberg’s contempt proceedings have now begun at the DC Circuit. Brett Shumate is now arguing for DOJ. www.youtube.com/live/4A1BwFh...

Judges won't save us, but I imagine any media organization or broadcast network that derives part of is revenue from political and government ad spending has standing to sue over the propaganda ads the White House is running on friendly networks in the lead-up to the election.
