Someone at the open house asked why aren't we building on top of Delridge station... good question

Delridge Way when?
Richards Street in Vancouver has four rows of street trees. This is only possible because the City repurposed space that is usually reserved for cars.

Could we, for the love of god, put bike lanes on Delridge

Sound Transit also showed an updated Delridge Station, which has been flipped to a side-loading station in order to utilize precast concrete segments for the light rail guideway.

We need hard curb protection on Delridge Way SW like yesterday

Yup they're pretty sweet

Love that SDOT’s Instagram page is highlighting its Delridge Way “multi-modal” street today by showing that it only has vehicle mode

I know I'm going out on a limb, but we shouldn't Delridge Way-ify First Avenue in Belltown
The plan's text: "Make Use of Every Square Foot"
The plan's actual proposals: add a center median to the most obvious street in the entire neighborhood to pedestrianize, giving 0 space back to other uses

We should probably figure out how to get Delridge an actual safe bike route.

Is Rob Saka correct that for "decades" there were no issues on this stretch of Delridge Way SW and now there are more crashes?

No, he is not.
Rob Saka provided a lot of words here in response to a question about his budget proviso setting aside $2 million to modify the RapidRide H project near his kid's former school, none of which explain how his proposal will make things safer.

Or in a food desert like Delridge, will help make the case for a new grocery store

Someone tell me why this is possible in Beacon Hill but wasn't in Delridge
It's so great to finally see the infrastructure in place at Beacon Hill Station that's much more aligned with its status as a multimodal hub.

@seattledot.bsky.social I can't believe you're actually going to make the pedestrian experience worse on Delridge to save drivers 20 seconds
Curvy mitigation in progress!

Remove parking on one side of Delridge, 35th, and California and we could have this in West Seattle next week
Eugene, Oregon has some pretty good bike infrastructure, pretty, pretty good.

Which Delridge light rail station design do you think would be better for our community?

Our friends at @westseattlebikes.bsky.social are presenting a letter to tomorrow's transportation committee to dead end 23rd where it crosses the West Seattle Bridge trail along Delridge.
This would be a massive improvement, I encourage folks to join in support!

I wonder if this is specifically about the Sprinter van that is perma-parked on Delridge around Juneau pretty near his home 😂

What actually pisses me off most about this:
There are 5 daycares in Delridge just north of here, three with no off-street parking.

My kiddo went to World Kids, which served many immigrant families too. No option for adding turns. We managed fine, but safer sidewalks and crossings were needed.

This Delridge "improvement" from CM Saka + Harrell is so dangerous for pedestrians.
Adding a two-way street where cars can turn at high speeds + a traffic island where people will have to look over their shoulder twice to ensure they don't get hit by cars.

It's the opposite of vision zero.

I wonder if they were hit traveling north on Delridge where @seattledot.bsky.social chose to remove a bike lane for whatever reason

PSA: When the Delridge connector path is blocked you can still get to the Spokane Street swing bridge or Alki without climbing Pigeon Point (huge!) hill by using the “secret path” on the other side of Delridge behind the fire station.
