Halloween: America's annual reminder that cities, density, and walkable neighborhoods are good, actually.

The sheer density of Queen's Domain is jaw-dropping...

North and South America population density with obtuse scalene triangles.

To all the MAGA out there.
These midterms are proof this map is still bullshit …. Population density is a thing

i'd get mad at South Dakota but realistically speaking those ten or so spikes represent probably 35 total people given population density n shit

Warfighters don’t care about air density.

And it’s all related! The reason why we have to pack all these towers into small nodes around the city is exactly because we aren’t allowed to add any meaningful density around most single family areas in the GTHA. Even gentle density like ADUs receive push back as exemplified by this article.

9.8% less mass, same amount of asya. density increasing

Because high intensity demands high density and high flexibility.

The density of insane lines in this movie

China has greater population density.
50% of all trucks sold in China are Electric. you know what nation has a bigger physical land area than Australia? China.
If EV trucks can work there, they can here.

Consensus is that since it encourages subdividing plots, it will yield higher density in places that are already suburbanized.
Question 7 reads like a bad thing because it could increase the supply of single family homes rather than incentivizing density? Is that a correct read.

I am going to spike the football and say the exact thing I said could happen, suburban whites in the Midwest and South realigning to match the national density polarization did happen. I did absolutely underrate the impact of super-charged black backlash to the gutting of the VRA tho
THE CRÈME BRÛLÉE
gonna need to see some numbers but my sense is that this isn’t just insane Black turnout in the South, although it’s that too; this is southern white realignment

Listen up brother your bone density is looking hella suspect can i introduce you to my friend milk?
November 2, 2026 at 8:09 PM
Sonic Mania really was made by people with an archaeological dig site where their brains should be. The level of callback density is ridiculous.
November 3, 2026 at 2:05 AM
also can i just say something:

i don't think the map with the (mostly blue) arrows that i keep seeing is a very good visualization

like since the arrows are all the same width, i'm p sure the first thing you notice -- the density -- is mostly just population density.

the people long for the Wuppertaler Schwebebahn, for some reason, instead of improved bus service along a low density corridor.

You've heard about Transit Oriented Development, but Taiwan turns transit stations into community centers. Linger during your train transfer and play some Table Tennis @metrolosangeles.bsky.social

phreak density
November 2, 2026 at 3:33 AM
Now let’s ask: Who has the power to reduce crashes?
▪️ Policymakers can improve transit, boost density, and tighten enforcement
▪️ Carmakers can adopt less deadly vehicles
▪️ Engineers can stop designing streets that favor speed over safety

In comparison, individual drivers/pedestrians can't do much.

They should've called Minnesota for Dems long ago too...they just don't want to piss off the chuds who don't know what population density is.
