Jeg ved ikke hvordan min kone bærer sig ad. Men hun har længe ønsket sig en “plakatprinter”.
Det lykkedes så i går, hvor hun kom slæbende på en HP designjet z5200. Jeg har kun set så store printere på trykkerier! Den er 170 cm bred og ligner mere et klaver!!
Men hva, den var jo gratis… 😍😂

Delightful. Had to unclog the yellow ink line on our nearly 20 year old Designjet… with syringes I’ve kept around for this since 2012.
Admittedly, I haven’t had to manually prime a line since 2012…

It’s a 19 year old Designjet 130. Takes 24” roll stock.

i absolutely love residential verge collection in East Perth because so far we have found:
- Mikado 8 Reflex Zoom film camera
- HP DesignJet commercial printer
- Photo printer on one block, pack of correct photo paper on another
- Nudes of one of our neighbours

Spent a healthy chunk of the weekend printing more photos for the house… although getting the measurements right for framing is always irksome.
But my Designjet 130 works, and I don’t need to buy a replacement that costs a month’s rent.

Ah! I got into it because I’ve been a hobby photographer since I was a teen (and my spouse is ok with it).
We bought a Designjet 130 in grad school - it was like $200 on eBay and needed another $200 in heads (it’s still running and I have a huge cache of ink, heads and paper).

I despise the inconsistent behavior of my HP LaserJet and if I used it anymore at all, it would be out the door in favor of a Brother.
I had an HP DesignJet 120 wide-carriage inkjet, or rather my late dad did, and that thing was so ornery that I just left it behind when the house sold.

once more I weep with gratitude at my perfectly behaved laser printer, which fires up and prints theatre tickets despite a) not having been used for several weeks and b) having been plugged in to another laptop before this task. Laser printers are the golden retrievers of tech; the goodest boys.
