#GrayWhaleCove is located between #DevilsSlide and #Montara. #Nudists like hanging out there and often " #birdwatchers " fall off the bluffs above and need to be rescued or recovered, depending on their state.

This is the southern end of the #TomLantosTunnel at #DevilsSlide in #SanMateoCounty. To the left is parking lot and access to the recreational area that encompasses an old and treacherous section of #Highway1.

Since we are exploring #DevilsSlide, here is some of the interesting #strata that has been exposed by the old Highway 1 cut-through that was blasted and cut through #MontaraMountain. I took these images from the now closed-off old section of Highway 1.

This is a public #bicycle repair stand with a pump, a few tools, and QR code that goes to instructions. This is at #DevilsSlide in #SanMateoCounty, CA. An old section of Highway 1 was turned into a recreational area and opened in 2013.

Above #DevilsSlide looking down at #PedroRock just offshore. The road you see is the old #Highway1. A tunnel was built through the mountain due to the number of deadly car accidents and landslides along this 1.3-mile-long section that noe the Devils Slide Trail. This is in #SanMateoCounty, CA.
