is that the Caprians refuse to believe that the Dhampirs are right about God, & continue believing that all of them are damned by El & the Dhampirs are just delusional.
I also worry Julius in particular and his inner circle might be susceptible to the Maven of Gluttony 😬 So it could go either way!

When reading Land of Gold, you will be intrigued by the Dhampirs, religion, locality, Czech culture and sensibilities, and so on and so forth. You won't exactly be enticed how a Czech village farms its grain or presses its grapes, however.

I COULD make one of the Dhampirs a Romani, although I'd have to make sure I'm not doing cultural appropriation. I'd also have to learn a lot more about Romani history, as their culture is quite distinctly different to ours!

To provide a book pitch for Land of Gold; three Dhampirs find each other in a peasant region overflowing with Satanic corruption, and upon realising what the danger is, work together to stop it. And Moondale, the last village untouched by Satan, will be their base of operations.

Vampires should be adept in dark or cursed magic, but can specialize in other magic. In addition to dhampirs, I prefer narratives where vampires can choose to reject their darker nature and oppose their own kind to protect humankind, yet still struggle with the thirst for blood.
